NIDO-AMERICAS PRESS ANNOUNCEMENT
June 26, 2007 - The board of Directors and the members of NIDO Americas Inc. congratulate the new board officers. The Chairman, Robert Ngwu, the Vice Chairman, Dr. Lawal Garba, and the Secretary, Dr. Victor Ozieh, were elected to cement the legacy and carry on the immediate and future undertakings of the organization. The board resolved to fill the other board positions, when additional board members are appointed with a view to strengthening the board's composition.
Established in 2000, Nigerians in Diaspora Organization (NIDO) in the Americas is a non-profit organization headquartered in Washington, D.C. that draws resources from the synergy of all Nigerian Professionals in the Diaspora, to instill ethical consciousness and civic responsibility that will enhance the socio-economic advancement of Nigerians and humanity in general.
The board would like to express gratitude to the former chairman, Dr. Ola Kassim and members for their tireless and selfless service to the organization. The board will continue the tradition of NIDO in the spirit of inclusiveness and collaborative efforts, vigorously embarking on programs and focusing on issues that would ensure timely accomplishment of visions, goals and objectives for which NIDO Americas was established.
